This is my first attempt at a blog. I've been thinking about it for a while. It started because I'm really fed up with the clothes that magazines say that I need to wear. Oh, and I have stuff I like to share!
Now, let me introduce myself.
My name is Sarah and I'm 48 in two weeks time. Like nearly everyone, I don't feel my age. I have two amazing, incredible, gorgeous, grown up children. I adore them. I have a wonderful husband. He's my rock and holds my heart.
Between them, they have allowed me to grow and become the person I want to be. They accept me. They love me.
So, why write a blog?
I have thoughts and ideas that I'd like to share. It can be lonely at times, being a mum, a wife; we get pigeon holed and magazines tell us how to dress. That really irritates me... big time!! Just because I'm over 40 it doesn't mean I'm not interested in fashion. That I don't like to stay in touch with fashion and ideas. It's ok not to dress as a middled aged frump... I don't!
I love clothes, I love shoes, I adore fashion. My style is random; It's taken me years to find it; to find out who I am. And, most of the time, I love me. I have fat days. I have bootylicious days. I have sexy days. I have pyjama days.
So, I need a place where I can ramble on and on and on...
On Facebook I have a habit of telling my friends what I'm going to wear when I'm going out. They seem to like it; Or they are very polite and pretend to!! They appear to like my thoughts and ramblings. And I enjoy describing my outfits.
The thing about clothes, is that they tell the world who you are. It can change from day to day. The days I can't find anything to wear, are the days when I'm not in tune with myself; when I'm not sure which 'Sarah' I am. Or when my confidence is lower; my fat days.
But this blog won't just be about the clothes that I feel slightly more experienced, beautiful ladies can wear. It might, on occasion, include my thoughts on my amazing family. I'm proud of them and who they've become. My life revolves around my family. They are my constant thoughts and energy. My healing light.
So, I shall ramble and hopefully you shall enjoy.
Welcome to my world. It's a little bit wonky but it's wonderful.
